Meet the Founder
Lisa Thiombiano, M.S.
Therapist | CEO | Educator | Speaker | Advocate

Lisa Thiombiano is a visionary leader, trauma-informed therapist, international speaker, and founder of both the International Institute for Healing & Development and Stand Up Survivor.
With over a decade of experience in mental health, nonprofit leadership, and global advocacy, Lisa is deeply committed to helping individuals and institutions heal, grow, and thrive.

As a survivor of domestic violence, Lisa brings both lived and professional insight to every space she enters. Her personal journey through pain to purpose fuels her passion to restore others and to walk beside those who feel unseen, unheard, or uncertain, and remind them that healing is possible and purpose is still within reach.
She takes that same passion and equips organizations, faith communities, and institutions to build cultures where safety is intentional and leadership is healthy.

She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and is a doctoral candidate who researched domestic violence and disclosure. Lisa has trained and spoken across the U.S. and internationally, equipping faith communities, businesses, schools, and leaders to cultivate cultures of safety and transformation.

Whether leading organizational trainings, consulting with institutions, or speaking from a platform, Lisa's mission remains the same, to equip leaders, transform cultures, and build organizations where people can truly thrive.
